Our user guide will walk you through the process.

How STAR helps you build your safety program

We’ve developed this 12-month, step-by-step guide to help you build your safety program. Within your policy year, you will:

  • Assess your workplace safety. Complete pre-and-post online safety assessments, to gauge your current workplace safety and measure your improvement.
  • Complete your IIPP. Build your injury and illness prevention program (IIPP), using our simple and easy IIPP Builder tool.
  • Learn from our experts. Collaborate with your peers in a live, interactive workshop led by our safety experts.
  • Give your employees free training. Access free online safety training for your employees.
  • Be recognized. Receive a certificate of recognition from State Fund for your company upon completion.

Who can register for STAR Program?

All State Fund policyholders can sign up for the STAR Program. You must sign up within two months of your renewal or inception date. If you are outside of your sign up window, you can still work on your IIPP with our IIPP Builder, or take our Online Safety University classes. Completion of these activities early will still count towards your completion of the program.

Improve Your Safety Culture

The STAR Program Safety Culture and Fall Prevention learning plans include courses on job hazard analysis, accident investigation, IIPP implementation, and more.
