Injury and Illness Prevention Program

In California, every employer must provide a healthy and safe workplace. An effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is at the center of this requirement. Required by law, the IIPP requirements spell out how to identify and address risks, what to do when an injury or illness occurs, and much more.

Cal/OSHA added a new requirement in 2020 to the Injury and Illness Prevention (IIPP) Standard. Now, you must inform your employees of their right to receive a copy of your written IIPP, and how to receive it. Use the IIPP Addendum, in English or Spanish, and attach it to your IIPP to comply.
