Ensuring that your employees return home safely to their loved ones at the end of each day is a top priority. At State Fund, we are dedicated to helping you keep your workplace safe and want to help you get the safety equipment you need to protect your employees.
Our Safety Equipment Grants Program helps policyholders like you get the safety equipment you need to prevent falls and keep your workers safe. Keep an eye out for an email from State Fund inviting you to apply to receive free safety equipment.
Eligibility requirements
- You must be a current State Fund policyholder and work in the following industries: carpentry, roofing, sheet metal, tree work, millwright, plumbing, wallboard installation, electrical, painting, scaffold, iron or steel works, and steel erection. See full list of eligible class codes.
- You must have reported payroll in at least one of the eligible class codes and have employees working in California.
- You must have at least one employee who works from heights at or above 6 feet.
- You must be in good standing with State Fund.
- You must have an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) available to upload. If you don't have an IIPP yet, you can easily create and save one using State Fund’s IIPP Builder℠. You can also access the IIPP Builder℠ in Spanish.
You’ll have 90 days from the receipt of your invitation to apply for your grant. Once approved, you will be notified of your grant amount and how to select your equipment from our approved safety equipment vendor.
